The South Lake Sammamish Association (SLSA) has been working on replacing the signs on the Sammamish Parkway, at the entrances on 188th and 192nd with signs that will reflect all of the
community neighborhoods.
Our own Kelland Ong, who designed the new Greenwood Point sign on 188th, has offered to be the project coordinator. The material cost would be $2000 per sign for the trellis and support. The
plan is to leave the existing ivy in place to reduce costs. The project can be done for about $10,000 if volunteers do the work. The GPHA share would be about $3000.
In our last newsletter, we asked for donations toward the new signs. So far we have received 4 donations and we thank the OʼKeefe Family, the Cress family, the Magner family, and the Parsons family for stepping up to make our neighborhoods more welcoming. If you would like to contribute, please send your checks to: The GPHA Sign Fund, 4132 187th Avenue SE, or bring them to the Annual Meeting in January. The suggested donation is $100 per family.
